New HOA Dues Delinquency Policy
Starting January 1, 2009, your HOA will implement its new policy for delinquent dues, as follows:
- All HOA Dues are due on the 1st of each month
- Dues received after the 20th of the month are considered delinquent
- A fine of 10% of dues will be assessed on all delinquent dues.
Note: Currently, HOA dues are $165 per month; therefore the fine for delinquent dues is $16.50 for payments received after the 20th of the month.

Town Hall Meeting 7 PM, Oct. 21 - Briefing about Camp Bullis
At 7 PM this Tuesday, Oct. 21, representatives from Camp Bullis will give us a briefing about the mission and challenges of Camp Bullis.  If you ever wondered about what exactly happens behind their fence, this is the time to come and ask questions.

Volunteers for Election Day, November 4
Thanks to the energy and community spirit of a dozen neighbors, voters in The Dominion will be able to cast their vote at Leon Springs Elementary School from 7 AM to 7 PM on November 4. Please, express your gratitude to these valiant volunteers when you come to vote.  Early voting at libraries and other locations has started and will go through October 31.

HOA Bonfire - November 23
Mark your calendar for the Annual HOA Bonfire on November 23 in the Pecan Grove next to the #9 tee, for an evening of fun and games for children, food for the entire family, and a magical bonfire as the sky darkens. That evening is the official start of the Holiday Season in The Dominion.

20th Service Anniversary of Major Hernandez
Major Hernandez has been a friendly fixture at Dominion Security for 20 years.  All of us are grateful to him for his devotion to his job, for the professional attitude he has consistently displayed, for his ability to recognize our voices when we call, and for his perfect attention to detail, whenever we have a problem.
At the beginning of the November Board Meeting, the Board of Directors will honor Major Hernandez with a special ceremony for his 2 decades of service.

News from the Treasurer
The Finance Committee, under leadership by Treasurer M. LoRusso, went through an extensive, multi-stage review of HOA accounts and financial service providers and recommended all accounts be moved to Frost Bank. The Board accepted this extensively documented recommendation.

Construction of HOA Office Building
Construction has started on the new HOA office building; initial ground clearing is starting this week. Watch the newsletter for your invitation to a construction party!

New Street Sweeper
After many years of service our street sweeping equipment has died; presently you will see a new street sweeper in our neighborhood. We hope it will give you better and more efficient service.

Letters to the HOA
We are grateful for your letters.  As every publication, this newsletter reserves the right to choose which letters are reprinted and to select which segments of a letter are reproduced.  In the following we would like to quote from a letter by Kit and Tym Myers about Major Hernandez 20 years of service:

“...Major Hernandez recently celebrated 20 years with The Dominion… (He) has been with us through six uniforms and six chiefs. He is a member of the Dominion family.  He is proud of the role he has played in this community.... Many organizations recognize.... long term employees..... We think it’s time to formally....institute...(a).... program.... A tangible and timely acknowledgement of their contribution to our community would strengthen the bonds between residents and employees.”
Thank you, Kit and Tym for your well formulated statement!

Sincerely,
Brigitte B. Saidi, Chairman
Dominion Homeowners Association
